Tanya Wood is the Director of the CHS Alliance, a network of more than 200 organizations demanding greater accountability for people in crisis, through the use of the Core Humanitarian Standard.

With over two decades of management and leadership experience in the international humanitarian sector, Tanya has contributed her expertise both at headquarters and during extensive overseas assignments in Africa, Asia, and the Americas.

Throughout her career, Tanya has been dedicated to leadership in international memberships, firmly believing in the transformative power of collective efforts.

Her professional journey has encompassed roles with prominent organizations such as the IFRC and ICVA, along with serving as the CEO and Chair of two international health networks.

Tanya pursued her education at the University of London, School of Oriental and African Studies, earning a master's degree in International Development and an MBA. Her academic background complements her extensive practical experience, positioning her as a leader with a holistic understanding of the complexities within the humanitarian landscape.
