Objective: To explore the overlap between Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 (“POCSO”) and the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition, and Redressal) Act, 2013 (“POSH”). This session also included a discussion on the implication of POCSO in organizational settings, especially where children may be present directly or indirectly.

The Legal Swan team had the privileged of having onboard, Mr. Rahul Singla, Founder and Chairman of Bachpan – Save the Innocence, one of India’s largest volunteer-driven movement dedicated to preventing child sexual abuse. Our esteem guest has sensitized over 48,500 stakeholders through 1550+ workshops, including 1500+ teachers and 200+ principals.
Mr. Singla shared his legal and practical insight into the intersection of the POCSO and corporate responsibilities. The session shed light on overlapping obligation under POCSO and POSH, especially in instances involving minor female complainants at the workplace.
